A 10-Week Course Exploring Contact with Non-Human Intelligences

April 1 – June 23, 2024

Join integral Exo Studies pioneer Sean Esbjörn-Hargens Ph.D. for a 10-week philosophical, historical, and experiential course in exploring human contact with 10 distinct types of non-human intelligences. Each week we will be focusing on a different category of entity contact with nonhuman intelligences – exploring the history of human interactions with these beings, the various types of beings in each category, and the modes of contact/practices used by humans to interact with them.

The 10 types of entities we will explore are listed below.

ENTITIES EXPLORED EACH WEEK:

1. Faeries
2. Aliens
3. Angels
4. Demons
5. Ghosts
6. Bigfoot
7. Dogman
8. Cryptids
9. Egregores
10. Sentient Mist

Each week on by Tuesday I will post a 30+ min lecture on the entity encounters being explored that week along with some study materials (e.g., handouts, articles). We will use the weekly live zoom call to discuss and engage the topic and share our own encounters/experiences. These will be recorded and posted the next day. We will use a course platform for weekly threaded discussions. This space will open in March so participants can begin to connect before the official start week in April.

This course is going to be an amazing integral exploration of the history, experiences, and traditions of the most common human encounters with non-human intelligences.

We will explore a number of interesting encounter metapatterns

This course is going to be an amazing integral exploration of the history, practices, and traditions of encountering and contacting various non-human intelligences.

I’ve spent over five years researching and studying these beings and have my own set of encounters with some of them.

We will explore a number of metapatterns that emerge across these encounters including:

  • Exploring the history of human interactions with these beings
  • Identifying the various types of beings in each category – how they look and act etc.
  • Documenting the modes of contact and types of practices used to interact with them
  • Reviewing the first-person accounts and descriptions of these encounters
  • Considering the cultural context of these encounters
  • Examining the filters of perception and interpretation we bring to the encounters
  • Discussing the ontological status of these beings (i.e., are they real?)
  • Comparing maps of anomalous experience and the subtle worlds
  • Discussing the role that our multidimensional embodiment (i.e., subtle bodies and inner senses) play in these events
  • Identifying links across contexts (e.g., poltergeists & UFO contact & angels)
  • Applying various concepts from Exo Studies to help us make sense of all this (e.g., doubleness, metapersons, mutual enactment, Wild Being)
  • Considering what kind of cosmology is needed to make room for all these types of beings

So if this sounds like fun – then come join the Monster Mash… ☺
