Exploring the Top 10 Hypotheses of UAPs
July 18 – September 19, 2024
Join integral Exo Studies pioneer Sean Esbjörn-Hargens Ph.D. for a 10-week exploration of the top schools of thought as to who or what is behind the UAP phenomena.
The 10 types of non-human intelligences or scenarios we will explore are listed below.

Each week I will post a 30+ min lecture on the position being explored that week along with some study materials (handouts, articles, etc.). We will use the weekly live Zoom call to discuss and engage the topic. These will be recorded and posted the next day. We will use a course platform for weekly threaded discussions.
We will explore a number of interesting encounter metapatterns
This course is going to be an amazing integral exploration of the most important theories and ideas as to what or who is “piloting” the UAPs being seen in our oceans, skies, and space.
We will explore a number of metapatterns that emerge across these encounters including:
- Exploring the history of human interactions with these beings
- Identifying the various types of beings associated with each hypothesis – how they look and act etc.
- Documenting the modes of contact and types of practices used to interact with them
- Reviewing the first-person accounts and descriptions of these encounters
- Considering the cultural context of these encounters
- Examining the filters of perception and interpretation we bring to the encounters
- Discussing the ontological status of these beings (i.e., are they real?)
- Comparing maps of anomalous experience and the subtle worlds
- Discussing the role that our multidimensional embodiment (i.e., subtle bodies and inner senses) play in these events
- Identifying links across contexts
- Applying various concepts from Exo Studies to help us make sense of all this (e.g., doubleness, metapersons, mutual enactment, Wild Being)
- Considering what kind of cosmology is needed to make room for all these types of schools of thought and their associated beings

Cost & Schedule
Starts the week of July 15th and goes till September 22nd, 2024
Each week, there will be at least one live call:
- Thursdays @ 8:00 – 9:00 PM US Eastern time zone (i.e., New York time).
- On July 18, 25, August 1, 8, 15, 22, 29, September 5, 12, & 19.
On some weeks there will be a second live call:
- Tuesdays @ 1:00 – 2:00 PM US Eastern time zone (i.e., New York time).
- On July 23, 30, August 6, 27, and September 10
All live calls will be recorded and posted for everyone.
We will use an online course space for conversations each week. This space will open in early July so participants can begin to connect before the official start week in on the 15th.

Sean Esbjörn-Hargens Ph.D. has spent his life developing “metaintegral” approaches to the fields of ecology, mixed-methods research, psychology & consciousness studies, philosophy of science, holistic education, and post-capital models of measuring social impact. For the last three years, he has been developing the new field of Exo Studies – exploring the implications of anomalous realities and experiences for our understanding the nature of reality. Sean is very passionate about developing new metaviews of what it means to be living in a multidimensional multiverse.
