Ever wondered if we are alone?
Or maybe you already know we aren’t!
Times They Are A Changin’
In the last couple of years we have witnessed some extraordinary things that raise fundamental – ethical, empirical, and existential – questions about humanity’s place in the cosmos. Just to name a few highlights:
- The New York Times Dec 16th 2017 announcement of the Pentagon’s multi-million dollar secret UFO Program confirmed what many have suspected for years – the US government does care about UFOs in spite of 50+ years of saying “no we are not interested!”
- The billionaire race to space by private industry is heating up with Space X claiming that we will have a colony on Mars within 20 years.
- The discovery of 1000s of exoplanets including the Trappist 1 system just a mere 40 light years away as well as the increasing indications that we will find microbiotic life on one of Saturn or Jupiter’s moons.
New Online Course: Introduction to Exo Studies! WHAT?
Join me for an intense 3-month online course entitled Exo Studies Master Course. “Exo studies” is a phrase I’m using to describe the full range of the UFO phenomena in all of its disciplinary boundary-crossing splendor. Here is my current working definition:
Exo studies is an integrative metafield committed to exploring the psychological, sociological, and scientific implications of living in a multidimensional multiverse.
In this course we will blast off into “extra-reality” together exploring in-depth the topic of galactic awareness in its many expressions. We are going to be discussing the most taboo, controversial and intriguing issues within the field of UFO research (e.g., types of extraterrestrials, the science of exoplanets, and humans as a multiplanet species). With Integral Theory as our GPS and the top 36 books I have personally selected (see below) as our ATV we are going to scour lunar landscapes in search of the truth. I can guarantee you will never look at the topics of UFOs, exoplanets, ETs, and multidimensional reality the same again!
Integral UFO/ET Geek Coming Out Party – You Are Invited
This is the course I’ve wanted to teach for years and finally am going to do it!! For over a decade I’ve been a closeted UFO/ET geek – reading 100s of books and watching 1000s of hours of videos (interviews, documentaries, movies) – all in an attempt to make sense of my own experiences and intuitions around this fascinating and confusing topic. If there is ever a place where multiple perspectives run amuck bumping into each other and in general creating chaos it is around aliens and the craft they pilot. Over the last few years I’ve begun to talk with “integralists” about these topics and I’ve been continually surprised to discover many of them have had their own powerful and evocative experiences with UFOs, ETs, and paranormal realities. I’ve been deeply inspired by these many conversations with fellow integral enthusiasts and moved by my own desire to deeply explore what it means to grow beyond an Earth-based worldcentrism and cultivate cosmoscentric (in contrast to Kosmoscentric) awareness. I’m fascinated by the recent breakthroughs in astrobiology and the ever increasing reality that humans will soon become a multi-planet species. I’m intrigued by the question “What does it mean to be a galactic citizen?” This is a question I feel is quickly becoming an ever more important question that needs to be engaged.
The Best Books On Planet Earth
As a result I’ve spent the last 3 months going through my extensive 300+ book collection of all things UFO and identifying the core 15 topics that make up what I’m calling exo studies. Once I settled on this structure (see overview below) I began identifying the best two contemporary books published in this area as well as a secondary list of background books. This resulted in a list of the top 200 books in exo studies with 36 volumes being selected as the discussion drivers for this online course (the rest serve as context or background reading).
As such these 36 books represent the crème de la crème of the UFO+ literature. They contain the best scientific, academic, philosophical, and experiential thinking and writing on these bizarre mind-bending and heart-pounding topics. Furthermore, they directly address aspects of the UFO phenomena in thoughtful provocative ways and they provide us with the tools, frameworks, maps, and distinctions to better understand this enigmatic and ambiguous domain.
Now don’t worry you are not required to read all 36 books! I already have done that so you don’t have to. But of course you can read as many or as much of them as you want. All you have to do is show up for the threaded discussions or live video calls and listen and participate to whatever extent you are called to engage. You can also just be an absorbent fly on the wall soaking in all the conversation as we transverse through foreign jungles of integral pluralism (i.e., where new epistemological-methodological-ontological horizons emerge)
Close Encounters of the Online Kind
At the beginning of each week I’ll be sending out a 20-30 min pre-recorded lecture highlighting the key takeaways from both books (as well as the other background sources listed for each week). I will highlight what their contribution to exo studies is. I will also be framing up some of the key questions and ways we can approach the answers. This will set the stage for the weeks chat room and the 1-hour live video conversations. I will host 4 of these throughout a single day (to accommodate different time zones) so you can join any or all of them.
Join us as we go to Mars before Elon does!
So I invite you to participate with us as we apply our most powerful integrative thinking to the most taboo and edgy topic on Earth.
The course begins September 1st and goes through December 2019. So mark your calendars.
In effect, this course is launching the new integrative metafield of exo studies. Be part of this historic first course!
